Double Up Food Bucks Updates During COVID-19

During this time of COVID-19, Double Up is here for families with Bridge Cards (EBT) to double their food dollars for more healthy food. Getting started is easy, just visit a participating market and double your dollars for more fruits and veggies. We encourage shoppers to visit for ways to stay safe before and after their next shopping trip.

If you need a Bridge Card (EBT) or have questions about your EBT balance, please contact the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services.

See below for the latest on how Double Up is adapting during COVID-19, including Double Up market updates, information about Pandemic-EBT (P-EBT), and links to additional community food resources. We’ll be updating this page regularly.

In response to COVID-19 many locations are getting rid of the $20/day limit. This means you can get even more healthy food using Double Up when you buy fruits and veggies with your Bridge Card. Be sure to check with your nearest participating site the next time you shop to get the Double Up match at that location.

Please note: Many stores, including Family Fare, VG’s, and ValuLand, have increased the limit to $50/day. Starting May 1, there will be a $50 per day Double Up earning limit at participating farmers market locations. Check with your local market to learn more.

Community Resources

As communities continue to respond to COVID-19, there are resources available to help families get the healthy food they need in addition to Double Up.
