Double Up Bonus Bucks

A new, limited-time offering for Michiganders with a Bridge Card who use Double Up Food Bucks.

We know the holidays can stretch your budget — especially when you're trying to bring home more fruits and vegetables. And with uncertainties around SNAP, we understand this time of year can feel even more difficult. That’s why Fair Food Network’s Double Up Food Bucks program, the State of Michigan, and supporters of the Fair Food Network Resilience Fund have come together to offer something extra: Double Up Bonus Bucks.

It’s simple:

  • If you shop with Double Up Food Bucks (with an active Michigan Bridge Card), you are automatically eligible to receive $40 in Double Up Bonus Bucks. There is a limit of one per customer while supplies last.
  • There are two different ways to receive Double Up Bonus Bucks at participating Double Up locations, depending on where you shop. See the How It Works section for more details.
  • These are additional vouchers,  that act like a store coupon, while supplies last.  You just show your Double Up card or Michigan  Bridge Card at checkout to confirm your eligibility.
  • Double Up Bonus Bucks printed vouchers come in $10 coupons, and you receive four at a time ($40 total) that can be used on fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables with no added salt, sugar, or fat only at participating Double Up locations.
  • Use $10 at a time — or the whole $40 in one trip. It’s our way of helping you bring home fruits and veggies you want (and make all the good stuff!) this season.

How It Works

  1. Starting November 1,if you use the Double Up card, $40 will automatically be added to your account. If you use Double Up tokens or coupons, just show your Michigan Bridge Card at checkout at participating Double Up locations. At locations that use coupons or tokens for Double Up, you can receive $40 in printed vouchers—they'll look like paper coupons—that you can use at the store while supplies last.

  2. Shop for Fruits and Veggies
Use your Bonus Bucks at checkout on eligible fresh or frozen produce. This includes any fresh fruits and vegetables and frozen fruits and vegetables with no added salt, sugar, or fat.
  3. Stretch Your Food Budget Even Further
Double Up Bonus Bucks don’t need to match SNAP/Michigan Bridge Card purchases of fresh fruits and veggies — they’re an extra bonus, just for you.
