When you use your Bridge Card, Double Up matches your fruit and vegetable purchases dollar for dollar, up to $20 a day. That means you and your family get twice the fresh fruits and veggies.

Am I eligible to use Double Up Food Bucks?

  • If you have an active EBT/Bridge Card, you can use Double Up
  • If you are on SNAP, you are eligible for Double Up
  • Some locations may require a quick sign-up at a cashier or information booth

Grocery store staff are ready to help you get started.

Grocery stores may use coupons, a store loyalty card, or the Double Up Food Bucks card. Your local store's cashier will be happy to explain how it works at their location. If you're given a coupon, don't forget to bring it the next time you shop.

Pay with your Bridge Card and get Double Up Food Bucks

For every dollar you spend on fruits and veggies with your Bridge Card, the grocery store will match it dollar for dollar, up to $20 a day. You can use Double Up Food Bucks to buy even more fruits and veggies at that store the next time you shop. It's that simple.

Find a participating farmers market near you

With more than 250 participating locations across Michigan, it’s easy to find a farmers market near you.

Look for a Market Manager or the information booth

Before you shop, go to the farmers market info booth and ask about Double Up Food Bucks. Market staff are ready to help you get started.

Get your EBT and Double Up tokens

Let the farmers market staff know how much you want to spend from your Bridge Card at the market.

For every $2 you spend from your Bridge Card, you will get $2 in Double Up Food Bucks.

Many markets use tokens for both EBT/Bridge Card and Double Up Food Bucks. Some use the Double Up Food Bucks card instead of tokens. The Double Up card matches your EBT purchases dollar for dollar.

Shop for food

Use your Bridge Card tokens to buy any SNAP-eligible foods, including bread and meat, and your Double Up tokens to buy any fruits and vegetables grown in Michigan. From apples to zucchini, an entire alphabet of produce is available to you.
