What is the Double Up Food Bucks Card?

When you shop with a Bridge Card, Double Up offers a dollar-for-dollar match on fruit and veggies you purchase at participating locations.

Many of our participating grocery stores and farmers markets use the Double Up Card, making it easy to earn and spend Double Up to bring home more produce.

How does the Double Up Card work?

If you have an active Bridge Card, you’re eligible to start earning Double Up! Here’s how you can get started with the Double Up Card.

Visit a participating Double Up location that uses the Double Up Card. Show your active Bridge Card to market/store staff, and they can help you get started and supply you with a Double Up Card.
Shop for fresh and frozen fruits and veggies without added salt, sugar, or oil. Cut produce is also eligible!
Show your Double Up Card to the cashier before you pay, and you will earn a dollar-for-dollar match in Double Up on fruits and veggies you buy with your Bridge Card. Your earnings will be added to your Double Up Card right away (no waiting!)
You can use your Double Up on the next purchase of fruits and veggies.

After signing up for a Double Up Card at a participating site, look out for a welcome text to complete your account. You can also download the myFresh Wallet App that works with the Double Up Card. Learn more.

When do Double Up Card earnings expire?

Once you earn Double Up on the Double Up Card, you must spend it within the next 90 days. Benefits will expire on the 1st of the month following that 90-day period.

If you earned Double Up on the Double Up Card during 2025, these earnings will expire on April 1, 2026.

How do you check your Double Up Card balance?

You can check your balance through your myFresh Wallet App or your online account at MyDoubleUp.com.

You can also text the word “BALANCE” or “BAL” to 201-975-8010 to get your balance via text. If you don’t get a balance right away, you may get a link to enter your Double Up Card info and EBT last 4 digits. Check out our Text for Balance Guide for more info.
