With SNAP benefits on pause this November in Michigan and other states, Fair Food Network’s Double Up Food Bucks is still here to help.
We’re introducing two new updates so that Michiganders with a Bridge Card can stretch their food dollars now until December 31, 2025:
#1 – Expanded Access to Double Up Food Bucks
- All earned Double Up Food Bucks will stay valid — no expiration.
Use your earned Double Up whenever you need them.
- Daily matches go from $20 a day to unlimited.
If you still have SNAP funds on your card, you can use them to earn unlimited Double Up at a participating store or for more fruits and veggies.
- Frozen fruits & veggies are now eligible statewide.
Earn and spend Double Up on frozen produce (no added salt, sugar, or oil) at all participating locations.
#2 - Double Up Bonus Bucks
- Made possible through Fair Food Network’s Double Up Food Bucks program, the State of Michigan, and supporters of the Fair Food Network Resilience Fund.
- If you shop with Double Up Food Bucks (with an active Michigan Bridge Card), you are automatically eligible to receive $40 in Double Up Bonus Bucks while supplies last.
Why This Matters
More than 1.4 million Michiganders use SNAP to feed their families. Without action, they’ll be left without the critical assistance they count on.
We believe healthy food is a fundamental right. Programs like Fair Food Network’s Double Up Bonus Bucks make fresh and frozen fruit and veggie choices more accessible for more people while supporting local farmers and food businesses.
See how you can join the Fair Food Network Resilience Fund to help bring even more healthy food access to those who need it most during these uncertain times.
